Thomas,born 1883, was the eldest son of John Willam Brownridge who was born in 1856.His mother was Annie Elizabeth born in 1858. He had a brother Albert Henry, born in 1885. His occupation in 1901 was Market Gardener and Thomas was a bricklayer. Also living in Lidgett in 1901 were another brother Ernest (b 1887) and sister Gladys May born in 1895.
By 1911 the family except Ernest were living at Viewlands, Barleyhill Road and Albert was now a Warehouseman and father John was now a Colliery Deputy underground.
Thomas served with 126th Field Company Royal Engineers.
He was Killed in Action on 22nd March 1918. and is commemorated at Pozieres Memorial and in Garforth Cemetery Plot B7
