Lived at “Wyala” Wakefield Road . In 1939 Norman was a Grocery Store Manager
Alec served in Merchant Navy on SS Fidra (Glasgow)

He was killed or drowned on 5th March 1943
His ship was torpedoed and sunk in North Atlantic North West of Lisbon in Portugal (43.50N 14.46W) by U.130. Uboat U130 was sunk a week later on 12 March 1943 in the North Atlantic west of the Azores, in position 37.10N, 40.21W, by depth charges from the US destroyer USS Champlin. 53 dead (all hands lost).
